About Lexia Core5 Reading:

Lexia Core5 Reading is a personalized and powerful tool that has been proven to accelerate the development of literacy skills for students in grades preK–5. It is built on the science of reading, helping students make the critical shift from learning to read to reading to learn. The program begins by assessing each student's abilities through a research-validated, adaptive auto-placement, ensuring that they start at the appropriate level. As students progress, Core5 adjusts to their performance, targeting skill gaps and providing educators with valuable data and instructional resources to customize their teaching for each student.

The program's adaptive blended learning structure offers an explicit and systematic approach to reading instruction. It covers six critical areas of reading: phonological awareness, phonics, structural analysis, automaticity/fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.

Leveraging Lexia's Embedded Assessment technology, teachers and administrators can monitor students' progress in real-time without interrupting classroom instruction. This saves valuable instructional time by identifying student risk levels, predicting future performance, prescribing instructional intensity, and providing actionable data and action plans.

Within just one month of use, teachers can determine each student's probability of meeting end-of-year grade-level benchmarks and receive recommended resources and instruction intensity to improve students' learning trajectory. Administrators can also gain a comprehensive view of academic progress through easy-to-interpret reports across districts, schools, grades, classes, and individual students.
